Fall classes at TDAA run mid August through mid June with a Spring Perfromance in June. Enrollment will close out in December
as to prepare for the Spring Performance.A minimum of 6 students per
class is required for a class to be held and no more than 15 students
in a class. Summer classes take place during the month of July

Below is a list of class descriptions to help you select the class that is best suited for you. Also included is what is needed for each class.
Please note that these classes are ONLY for students who wish to audition for Mini Company in June.
Ballet is a classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses.Ballet is the foundation of ALL dance forms.Students must be 7 years of age or have completed 3 years of combination program.
needed: pink ballet shoes, black leotard, pink or nude tights
Tap is a form of dance characterized by a tapping sound that is created from metal plates that
are attached to both the ball and heel of the dancer's shoe. These
metal plates, when tapped against a hard surface, create a percussive
sound and as such the dancers are considerd to be, somewhat, musicians.Students must be 7 years of age or have completed 3 years of combination program.
needed: black lace up tap shoes, jazz pants or boy shorts, or tights, leotard or camisole
Jazz is a freestyle form of dance with its
basic roots in Africa. It is related to the various moods and arts of
American music. Students must be 7 years of age or have completed 3 years of combination program.
needed: black boy shorts or leotard and tights, black lace up jazz shoe (ages 7-12, foot undeez may be worn (ages 13-up)
Hip Hop refers to dance styles primarily danced to hip hop musics or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. This includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, popping. Students must be 9 years of age or have completed 3 years of combination program.
needed: anything comfortable, clean sneakers, NO JEANS
Private Lessons
Solos, duets, and trios, are given at the discretion of the TDAA faculty based on the ability of the student
.Any student applying for a private lesson must be enrolled in that they are applying for as well as a weekly ballet class. This information is available in the office.
