Miss Katie
Katie, a native of Charlotte, NC, has had 17 years of dance experience and training. Her training began at the age of 2 with Joanna Nichols and continued under the instruction of Kathy Baldwin, Keith Darby, Amanda Pruit, and Heather Maree in the areas of tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. Throughout studio training she received the studio?s Best Showmanship, Sportsmanship, Outstanding Student, and Student of the Year awards. On the regional and national level of competition, Katie has been awarded Regional Teen Miss Nexstar, National Teen Miss Nexstar, Regional Miss Nexstar, National Miss Nexstar, a scholarship to the Broadway Dance Center in NYC through Encore Dance Competition, and other top honors. Katie currently works for and travels with Nexstar Dance Competition and is a sophomore in Business Management and Interpersonal Communication at NC State University.
